
Nepal is a country of bio-diversity in terms of its flora and fauna. There are several National parks for the wildlife experience in Nepal. Chitwan National Park is one of the best National Parks in the world with its ample amount of wildlife sighting. Just 5 hours drive from Kathmandu or 25 minutes flight to reach to the National park, located in the south of Kathmandu valley along the Mahendra Highway in the tropical valley of Chitwan.
Talking about the fauna, we can see the Royal Bengal tiger, Crocodile, one horned rhino, black beer, deer, elephant wild and domestic, over 500 species of birds, the river canoe provides one of an excellent experience in life. The wildlife tour is very much organized in Nepal with deluxe hotels to basic economic one but neat and clean with variety of food on menu. The sauraha is one of the tourist hub of the region where all Nepalese and foreign tourist flocks in the evening and enjoy the beauty of sunset.
In Chitwan National Park, the tour is organized according the packages days. There are generally 02 nights 03 days or 03 nights 04 days packages. In general, 02 nights 03 days packages, one may experience almost all the activities as mentioned bellow.
Day 1
13.00 hrs : Arrive at your safari lodge. Check in the lodge followed by refreshments .
1330 hrs: Lunch and rest .
1430hrs : Briefing about the programs, the lodge facilities and the national park.
1600 hrs: Jungle safari on elephant back. An excellent opportunity to see four different kinds of deer, rhinoceros, wild boar, leopard, monkeys, birds including peacock and many other smaller animals.
1830 hrs: Talk on the natural history & flora & fauna of the national park
1930 hrs: Dinner
Day 2
0600 hrs: Wake up call. Tea/Coffee. Nature walk: An excellent opportunity to be familiar with the diverse vegetation of the park and to see a great many of those over 450 different species of birds which have made Chitwan National Park their home.
0730 hrs: Breakfast.
0830 hrs: Dugout canoe ride along the river. An excellent opportunity for watching birds and to see the 2 rare species of crocodile; the marsh mugger and the fish eating gharial. Short walk through the jungle and crossing a small stream to The Elephant Breeding Farm. See elephants of different ages including several baby elephants. Drive back to the Lodge.
1300 hrs: Lunch.
1530 hrs: Village walk to visit to the nearby aboriginal Tharu village.
1830 hrs Tharu Tribal Dance presented by the local Tharu villagers.
1930 hrs: Dinner .
Day 3
0600 hrs: Wake up call. Tea/Coffee. Bird watching tour.
0730 hrs: Breakfast.
0830 hrs: Departure from the lodge for onward journey
This above mentioned itinerary is in general a program of all the lodges and all the travel companies, it sometime varies according to the lodges. We include all of them but may be different on time. The tour to Chitwan National Park is all in full board including 3 meals a day and all the above mentioned activities but the extra expenses are excluded such as the drinks, tips to the staffs, transport to and from chitwan, optional activities which is not mentioned in the program etc.
In the high season, we require your inquiry in an advance as the limited lodges and limited resourses as well as to avoid unnecessary tension of not finding the best lodge and best service in rush. In another season we are ready anytime to provide you the accommodation and services with short confirmation.
